Lesley  has been interested in graphics and artwork since she was a child growing up in NSW.  She experimented with various art forms for many years whilst raising a family of 4 children and travelling around the country with her husband, Barry, who was in the RAAF. She has also taught piano for many years.

Now that the children are grown and independent, she has taken a more serious approach to her natural gifts and has produced a number of works in oils, water colours, pastels and acrylics. Encouraged by sales and the feedback received, she has continued to paint in these mediums. 

Lesley has recently exhibited her work  at Slaters Historic Cottage in Goomalling WA. She enjoys the  freedom to paint abstract works as well as the challenge of  detail in her depictions of Flora and Fauna—especially birds. She has studied in several institutions and trained under experienced international artists. (E.g. Lyn Diefenbach and Paul Margocsy). 

Lesley discovered the craft of fabric sculpture at a local art demonstration and was captivated by the possibilities of using environmentally safe products and recycled household items and materials to produce beautiful art works. Lesley could see many applications for the Fabric hardening and stoneart products.  The opportunity to teach and promote Powertex products presented itself, so Lesley travelled to Sydney to complete her Training course. Lesley is now a Master Trainer and WA Consultant for Powertex products. 

Lesley and Barry live in Port Kennedy, South of Perth. She and her husband have a keen interest in helping poor families in Asia and travel regularly to Thailand and Cambodia to support work there. Her husband Barry is on the board of an organization called Partners Against Poverty. Lesley is involved with teaching the women craft skills so that they can earn a small living and improve the lives of their families. 

She is delighted to have the opportunity to persue her artistic passions and is looking forward to training and promoting the wonderful Powertex skills and products.
